Add an online withdrawal function to a Shopify store

What the EU text requires from the online function

• An easy-to-find, prominently displayed function that remains available throughout the withdrawal period
• An unambiguous label such as “withdraw from contract here”
• A statement that lets the consumer provide or confirm their name, the contract, and where the acknowledgment should be sent
• A separate, unambiguous confirmation action such as “confirm withdrawal”
• An acknowledgment on a durable medium, without undue delay, containing the statement plus its date and time

What the dedicated Opus workflow does

1. Add the Opus withdrawal function app embed in the Shopify theme editor. Its customer-facing label is fixed to “Withdraw from contract here.”
2. The customer verifies the order and chooses the fulfilled items covered by the statement.
3. The customer provides their name and uses the separate Confirm withdrawal action.
4. Opus records the statement as a merchant-review request and emails an acknowledgment containing the name, order, items, reference, date, and time.

• Confirm whether and where the requirement applies to you
• Review exclusions and the correct withdrawal period in each country you serve
• Enable and publish the withdrawal app embed on every relevant storefront interface
• Submit a test statement and verify the acknowledgment reaches the checkout email
• Keep the store's policy, model form, support process, and refund operations aligned with local requirements
