Service

Opus Returns & Exchanges provides Opus as a Shopify application for managing return and order-help requests. Opus is currently offered without an app subscription fee. Shopify fees, payment-processing costs, shipping costs, and charges from services a merchant separately chooses are not Opus app fees.

Merchant responsibilities

• Configure accurate return rules, customer instructions, addresses, locations, and contact information.
• Review each consequential action before confirming it and verify the resulting Shopify records.
• Use Opus only for lawful store operations and maintain appropriate access permissions for staff.
• Provide legally required customer notices and honor applicable consumer, refund, and privacy laws.
• Do not upload malicious, unlawful, or unrelated content.

Shopify controls financial outcomes

Shopify remains the source of truth for orders, payments, refunds, store credit, returns, inventory, and fulfillment. Opus presents Shopify-calculated outcomes and submits actions only after authorized confirmation. Merchants must reconcile any ambiguous or incomplete result before attempting it again.

Availability and changes

Opus may be updated to improve security, reliability, Shopify compatibility, or functionality. Maintenance, Shopify platform changes, third-party outages, or emergency security work may temporarily affect availability. Material changes to these terms will be posted with an updated effective date.

Suspension and termination

A merchant can stop using Opus by uninstalling it. Access may be limited when necessary to prevent abuse, protect merchants or buyers, comply with law, or respond to a security threat. Data is retained or deleted according to the Privacy Policy and Shopify’s mandatory deletion process.

Disclaimers and liability

To the extent permitted by law, Opus is provided without guarantees that it will be uninterrupted or suitable for every store policy or jurisdiction. Nothing in these terms excludes rights or liabilities that cannot legally be excluded. Merchants remain responsible for reviewing customer-facing policies and the Shopify results of actions they authorize.

Governing law

These terms are governed by California, USA. Mandatory consumer or privacy protections that apply in another jurisdiction are not limited by this statement.
