Guest and legacy-account access
Customers can find an order with the order number and checkout email. They do not need to create or sign into a customer account.
Founding 100 · returns for small Shopify stores
Shopify's native self-serve flow is a good fit for basic refund returns. Opus adds customer-requested exchanges, guest lookup with an order number and checkout email, and a complete inspection workflow. It is free and takes about a minute to set up.

Return request #1042
Exchange for a different sizeA straightforward request for the merchant, and a better experience for the customer.
Why use Opus instead of Shopify native?
Customers can find an order with the order number and checkout email. They do not need to create or sign into a customer account.
Let shoppers ask for a different size or product inside the request instead of turning every exchange into an email thread.
Collect photos and details, track the inbound package, inspect returned items, and then create the approved outcome in Shopify.
Your request history is exportable as CSV, and approved Shopify outcomes remain in Shopify. If you only need signed-in customers to request refund returns, Shopify's native option may be all you need.
How it works
Set the return window, eligible outcomes, and customer instructions.
Use a ready-made tab or embed and customize its text, color, and position.
See the order, items, reason, and requested resolution without digging through email.
Works with Shopify Flow
Add an order tag automatically when a customer submits a return, exchange, or replacement request.
Start with a ready-made workflow that emails your team when a new Opus request needs attention.
Tag exchange requests separately so fulfillment and support can route them consistently.
Online withdrawal workflow
For eligible fulfilled orders, Opus also includes a dedicated storefront withdrawal entry, a separate confirmation action, and a timestamped email acknowledgment. It remains distinct from the normal returns portal while feeding the same merchant request queue.
Why it is free
I built Opus because small stores need something between a shared inbox and an enterprise returns platform. Many do not process enough returns to justify another subscription, but handling every request through email still wastes time.
The goal right now is to help the first 100 real stores, learn what they actually need, and build a track record as a Shopify developer. Opus is inexpensive to run, so I would rather earn trust before asking merchants to pay.
Optional paid features may come later if the app grows. Everything available today is free, with no paid plan, gated trial, or credit card.
Your store is not locked in. Export the Opus request history as CSV at any time, and the Shopify Returns, refunds, store credit, exchange orders, and replacement orders already created through Opus remain in Shopify. If you uninstall, Shopify removes the app blocks and Opus data follows the published retention and deletion policy.
