Add Returns & Exchanges to your store

Give customers an obvious way to open Opus from your storefront and Shopify customer account.

Choose at least one entry point

Open Opus Home and select Set up customer entry points. Opus provides direct links into Shopify's theme editor and customer-account editor. You can use more than one entry point; they all open the same secure return portal.

Add the floating tab

  1. Select the floating-tab setup link

Shopify opens the current theme editor with the Opus app embed selected.

  2. Turn the Opus embed on

Choose the tab label, color, side, and vertical position. Keep the label short enough for mobile screens, such as Returns & Exchanges.

  3. Save the theme

Shopify does not publish theme-editor changes until Save is selected in the upper-right corner.

  4. Verify on desktop and mobile

Open the storefront in a private window and at a narrow mobile width. The tab should stay near the edge and must not cover checkout, chat, or accessibility controls.

Use a custom placement

If your theme supports app blocks, add the Opus Returns button inside any compatible section. You can also add a normal Shopify menu link using /apps/resolve. This is the easiest way to create a footer item named Returns, Exchanges, or Order help.

  • Do not paste the Railway host into your menu. Use the storefront /apps/resolve path so Shopify signs the request.
  • Do not remove the app proxy in Shopify app settings. The portal depends on it.
  • If you change themes, enable the Opus app embed again in the newly published theme.
